Have you seen a mummy before? If your answer is no this is your chance to visit a city located in the center of Mexico, where you will travel on time in the history of this country.
This city is full of surprises and spectacular landscapes. It is one of the most touristic in Mexico a it is one of my favorites. This city was where the fight for the Mexican Independence started in 1810.
Legends of Guanajuato
There are a lot of alleyways in the city, and there are legends them. One of the most famous is the legend of the ‘Kiss alleyway’, a famous place that is mandatory to visit. If you are going there with your couple and you do not give her/his a kiss in the third rung you are going to have bad luck with love.
Another main attraction in the city is the Museum of the mummies of Guanajuato, one of the scariest places in the city. The mummies belonged to the municipal cemetery of this region, and the mummies are incredibly well conserved, if you do not believe check the following pictures:
This city is also famous because one of the most famous painters of Mexico, Diego Rivera, lived here. Nowadays, this house is a museum where you can see his famous paintings.
